"So, what has the PTSF done for me lately?", you ask.  Well, here is the answer ~

*  Established, maintains and runs the Blazer Uniform Store, a/k/a the BUS

*  Raised funds (remember the donut sales?) and purchased the fantastic, new elementary playground equipment (we have it on good authority that this is the greatest playground ever!)

* Provide funds for the maintenance on the new elementary playground equipment

*  Subsidize Odyssey of the Mind, an International program offered to students, third grade through high school

* Provide a forum for teachers, students and parents to discuss issues, concerns, and new ideas related to SCS

* Purchased a defibrillater for the school campus, making SCS reportedly the first school in Sarasota County to have such a device on campus

* Increase faculty and staff morale by hosting a Back to School Breakfast and the Annual Christmas Party for all faculty and staff members

* Created the Parent Ambassador League (PAL), a branch of the PTSF designed to welcome new families to SCS and assist them in making a smooth transition to SCS.  PAL hosts a Back to School Night Dinner for all new families and has members that can answer questions for all grade levels.

* Most importantly, provide fellowship activities for all of our families, students, faculty and staff, including Family Dinner Nights on campus, Family Swim Nights at Potter Park, Family Skate Nights at the Stardust Event Center, and so much more.  Click
